Mehran Yousaf is a Research Associate in the Data and Modelling team at WCS. He is currently
pursuing a Ph.D. in Computer Science at Quaid-i-Azam University, where he also earned his
Master of Philosophy in Computer Science. His research primarily focuses on static analysis,
graph-transformer-based models, and vulnerability detection in complex software systems.
Prior to his doctoral studies, Mehran gained extensive experience as a Software Quality
Assurance Engineer and Lead Researcher, managing industry-funded projects focused on
source code analysis and security. At WCS, Mehran applies his expertise in advanced
programming, automated testing, and algorithmic modelling to contribute to the technical and
analytical frameworks necessary for addressing challenges in climate change and sustainability.
Alongside his research, Mehran brings significant academic experience to the team, having
served as a Lecturer and Program Coordinator at institutions such as the National University of
Technology (NUTECH), Capital University of Science and Technology (CUST) and Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad.
