Damisha is a climate change enthusiast pursuing a post-graduate degree in Climate Change & Development at the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST). Caught between hope, gloom, and disorientation amidst the unfolding planetary crisis, she continues to (read: tries her best to) hold on to the possibilities of a better and just future. Her research interests include the historico-socio-political roots of climate change, contemporary dynamics of climate justice, philosophical underpinnings of the climate crisis, and the impact of literary representations of climate change. At WCS, she has been working on multiple projects, ranging from climate risk assessments to reviewing climate adaptation & mitigation project proposals for donor guidelines alignment. When she is not working, you'll find her reading a book (or adding one to her TBR), binge-watching a show, or scrolling through Instagram reels of art, recipes, and cats.
