Maria has a Master’s degree in Food Security from the University of Warwick, UK. Her previous
research focused on examining the relationship between extreme weather events and food security
in diverse geographical locations. She possesses a strong enthusiasm for employing interdisciplinary
approaches to address challenges related to the impact of climate change across various sectors,
with a particular focus on global food systems. Assessing climate impacts on agricultural and food
production systems and developing strategies for sustainable agricultural practices, along with
exploring the dynamics of Loss and Damage under climate change, comprise her current focus
areas.
